Our Story
October 7, 2007
To us an important part of any bicycle ride is the afterglow of talking and reflecting. After one Century Ride we were in a Crab House doing what comes naturally, talking about the Ride. Ann started the round by saying …”the last 10 miles….they were really tough….it wasn’t really physically hard, but it was psychological." Lynne followed almost instantly with "…that last hill…that was hard and that too was psychological." Then, without trying to they harmonized "…but we made it!, That is more than psychological, Andy interjected "you are right..it is more than psychological…IT's "C-Y-C-L-E LOGICAL."
We all stopped. Eyes opened, separate whimsical smiles. Yah! That's what it is all about. IT's CYCLELOGICAL! It is a biker's high. It is the emotion and stimulation you get when you are riding. It is the many things about cycling that keep you going.
Ann made her comment again, but with a different emphasis, this time it was "The last 10 miles…It's cyclelogical." Lynne said "From the bottom to the top…It's cyclelogical!", Andy added, "Headwinds…It's cyclelogical!" Lynne whipped out a pencil and started writing on the butcher paper table cover. In a few minutes we had to tear off another sheet and added more. After a few minutes (yes, and a couple rounds of beer (and diet Pepsi) we had a list of things that are really unique and stimulating about cycling. We were surprised when we looked at the list that cycling did affect us so differently in so many ways.
And so it began. IT's CYCLELOGICAL. It was what we used to call "a significant emotional event!" Yah, there is something special about cycling. It is not just physical, emotional or even psychological…..It's CYCLELOGICAL.
We left the Crab House and were even more pumped up than after most other rides… We had found a key to why we liked the whole world and experience of cycling…It's CYCLELOGICAL.
We talked about the experience on the way home and thought this would be great to share with others. We started IT'S CYCLELOGICAL.COM and have been having a great time with the idea and the business.
Hope you have great cycling -- it is like nothing else -- IT's CYCLELOGICAL.
